Michelle Craig recognized with President’s Teaching Award
Michelle Craig has received a President’s Teaching Award for sustained excellence in teaching, research in teaching and the integration of teaching and research.
An associate professor, teaching stream, in the department of computer science in the Faculty of Arts & Science, Craig is one of two professors receiving the award this year. She led a team that produced more than 125 videos and over 200 exercises about C and Systems Programming that have been viewed thousands of times by ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ students.
President’s Teaching Award winners receive an annual professional development allowance of $10,000 for five years, and are designated members of the ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ Teaching Academy for at least five years. The academy meets regularly to discuss teaching and offers advice to the vice-president and provost, as well as the director of Centre for Teaching Support & Innovation.
